Modern Malaysian Cuisine

Assalammualaikum and hi!

As i have told in the last entry, this time i will post something about 'Modern Malaysian Cuisine' which is a task from my beloved lecturer, Sir Azuan Alias.

Modern malaysian cuisine is a cooking techniques that has been refurbished by the way of preparation, ingredients and taste of the cuisine. The reason of being which that the modern malaysian cuisine is more popular than the traditional one is because people nowdays love something easy but it can give smile on their faces all day long.

Malaysia is one of famous countries in Asia because of food, culture and nature but today Malaysia is known as heaven of food in the world because there is a lot of food in Malaysia which also get influenced by other countries due to migration and marital. Year by year, food industry in Malaysia also changed to much better condition from before.

In modern malaysian cuisine, we have something that not only tasty but easy to prepare instead of traditional method which takes a lot of time and energy. In the same time, there is a lot if advantage that we have in modern malaysian cuisine for example we can replaced coconut milk to low fat milk in case to make a change with our lifestyle and the taste of food is still tasty and what more important is, it is much healthier for our body.

The bigger difference that we can see is the traditional method itself takes much more time of preparing one single dish. They usually use their bare hands without any equipment until the dish gets done and the period of making the dish is much longer if we want to compare with the modern method which usually helps us make a delicious dish but easy to prepare it and a lot of food can be made in the same time.

Beside that, the role of herbs plays an important part as well in terms of making delicious dish but now days people are prefer to use english herbs like oregano, rosemary , thyme and more into their dishes because the smell of the herbs can give nice fragrance and good taste to the dish but traditional herbs is still helping especially when it comes to malay dishes like 'asam pedas' and more.

As a conclusion, we can say that modern malaysian cuisine now is at the same level with western cuisine because today we can see there a lof demands of modern malaysian cuisine especially from foreign countries and as a result we can see that there are few of malaysian's community run their own malay restaurant in big city like UK, London simply because they want to introduce to the english communities what are malay dishes all about and may this effort would be a means of honour for our nation one day.
